"Val" is the foundation of the breeding program here at Horse And Hound and reigns unchallenged as the Queen of all she surveys.  Her ability as a brood bitch is unquestioned, having produced the "Irish Litter" when bred to CH. Kyrov-Lereau Dream Machine.  Of the seven puppies born, six have been winners in the conformation ring!

EXCITING NEWS!  VAL CONGRATULATES THREE OF HER KIDS!  2-20-12

I'm so proud to announce that the 2012 Show Season has started off with a bang! 
At the Rocky Mountain Cluster, held Feb. 17-20th, 2012, GCH. CH. Horse and Hound Dreamin'  O' Dublin was named Best of Breed at the Plum Creek KC I (TSE) and was Best In Specialty at the PCKC/RMBC Specialty, under Judge Kent Delaney and Joe C. Walton!   He is now a Multiple Best In Specialty winner!   My beautiful Val daughter, "Horse And Hound Paimpont" (sired by CH. Sylvan Scotch And Soda JC) finished her AKC Championship by being named Winners Bitch for a Major at the Plum Creek Kennel Club Show I under Judge Kent Delany!  
Not to be outdone by his litter brother and little half-sister, CH. Horse And Hound Balleymaloo" (sired by CH. Kyrov-Lereau Dream Machine)  completed his Grand Champion title by being named Best Of Opposite Sex at the Colorado Kennel Club Show I under Judge Lou M. Guerrero !

THE PUPPIES HAVE ARRIVED!  NOV. 9, 2011

I'm thrilled to announce the birth of the "Italian Litter",  six very healthy and robust puppies, four girls and two boys, all white and trimmed with gold and red!  Mother Val and all kids doing well!  Below are the first pictures of the new family.  Dad, CH. Radost White Rock, could not be more proud!  Very special "Thanks" to Lynda Cattoni-Shafer for traveling all the way over from her home in Utah to share the birth with me and then watch over them while business took me away from home for the next two days. 
More pictures to come each week as "The Italian" litter grows!

 On November 4 my Veterinarian confirmed via X-rays the presence of at least six puppies baking in the oven!  I couldn't be more thrilled and am eagerly awaiting their arrival on or around their expected due date of November 7, 2011!  I'll keep you posted!!!  Your inquiries are invited!

Val's Grandson, "Horse And Hound Tip Your Hand", owned by Elizabeth Buchholz and Karen "Cricket" Murray, has finished his AKC Championship in grand style at the Des Moines Kennel Club shows on September 9-11, 2011.  "Uri" is a son of Val's Irish Litter boy, CH. Horse And Hound Balleymaloo and I'm thrilled to hear of his consistent successes in the show Ring!  Thanks, Elizabeth and Cricket, for giving this young star a chance to shine!
 

  EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT! ~ August 22, 2011

I'm proud to announce the newest breeding plans here at Horse And Hound.  "Val" will be visiting Radost Borzoi in the Fall of 2011 for a breeding to CH. RADOST WHITE ROCK (GCH. Aashtoria Wildhunt Hidden Agenda x GCH. Kansai'z Elsa).  I'm anticipating exceptional conformation, temperament, and movement from this breeding.  Reservations for this championship potential litter are not being taken quite yet, but will be as soon as I know that puppies are on the way!  Watch for future announcements!

 "CH. HORSE AND HOUND BRETAGNE AT SCHEREMETJEW"

Congratulations to Val's newest AKC Champion, proudly owned by Karen Johnson and Julia Johnson, MD. of Quinten, VA.  "JOLIE" is the first of the French Litter to finish, and did it in style with 3 Major wins by the tender age of 13 Months!!!  She will next be setting her sights on becoming a Dual Champion as she begins her coursing career!  I'm so proud of her and wish Karen and Julia continued success with "Jolie"!

Finishing his Grand Championship with back to back BOBs under Breeder/Judge Nadine Johnson and Judge Monica Canestrini  at the Araphahoe KC I and II shows, at the ripe old age of 22 Months!  At under two years of age, he may well be the youngest Borzoi to attain this coveted title thus far!

Val's newest baby to show, "Marilyn" made a hit with the Judge at the RMBC "B" Match and was named BEST PUPPY IN MATCH at the ripe old age of 3.5 Months!  This is a title won by her mother when she was a puppy!  Once again, Val has proven to produce puppies who mature into Champions in the Conformation Ring!  Congrats, too, to Papa, "Scotty"!
This saucy little girl thinks she's ready to take on her big brothers!  What fun she'll be in the near future!
